Hemroids
Hemroids, name, which can scare a normal person in his dreams is one of the most painful disorders that can occur to a person. Hemroids are basically a state of swelling of veins around the anus or lower rectum area, which can cause inflammation. This disorder occurs mainly because of pregnancy, aging, constant constipation or diarrhea. Anal intercourse can also sometimes lead to this disorder. Most of the people think that bleeding from the rectum is a symbol of hemorrhoids only, but it is not like that always. It can be a symptom of inflammation of the intestines, anal fissures which accounts for the cracking in the anal canal lining, the rectal polyps or it may be colorectal cancer, and thus it must be reported to a certified doctor.

Types of hemorrhoids
The area of body that is under the effect of hemorrhoids involves the blood vessels that line the anus. The walls of the rectum are under continuous pressure that makes the muscles, that support the hemorrhoid vessels, really weak. After sometime the hemorrhoids will lose their hold up and consequence in a sac-like overhang inside the rectal canal. These types of hemorrhoids are known as internal hemorrhoids.
There is a very fine line between internal hemroids and external hemorrhoids. If the former ones press out of the anal cavity, we get prolapsed or external hemorrhoid. The worst part about external ones is that they can cause blood clots if blood comes out of them; in that case they are termed as thrombosed external hemorrhoid. The word thrombosed has been derived from trommboplastin, a chemical that is secreted for clotting of blood.
Senior citizens have high risk of these plumps as they occur more frequently in old age. Apart from them pregnant ladies and ladies with kids may also get these plumps in their body.
Causes of hemroids
Some of the most common causes of hemorrhoids are:
- The most common cause of hemorrhoids is straining due to constipation. If you are feeling uncomfortable with stool excretion, then you must consult a doctor as it may lead to harmful hemorrhoids.
- Other causes of these plumps include diarrhea, vomiting, and lengthened sitting at one place, coughing and sneezing.
- Diet is also important to avoid these disorders. If you are someone who takes a low-fiber diet then you can be a victim of hemorrhoids. Thus it is advisable to increase the fiber content in your diet. You can go for some leafy vegetables and fruits with roughage in them.
